P.E.I. Humane Society Dog Park Rules

 

These rules have been established to provide a safe and enjoyable area for your dog.  Please follow the rules and have fun! 

  1. Dogs must be in the care and control of an adult handler over the age of 16 years of age.
  2. Leashes should be removed immediately upon entering the Park.
  3. Watch your dog and keep your dog’s leash with you at all times.
  4. Owners must remain inside the Park with their dog.
  5. Leash your dog immediately if aggressive behaviour towards other dogs or people is observed.
  6. Remove your dog at the first sign of dangerous behaviour toward people or other dogs.
  7. Be polite.  Scoop the poop!  Newspapers and trash cans are available in the Park.
  8. We provide water but please bring your own water bowls.  In winter we may not be able to provide fresh water.  Bring your own.
  9. There is a limit of 2 dogs per person in thePark.
  10. Curb excessive barking – remove your dog.
  11. Dogs must wear a collar with identification at all times.
  12. Dogs that are in heat or are sick or injured should not be in the Park.
  13. Children should be supervised by an adult or guardian and are not allowed on the agility equipment.
  14. Dogs should be leashed in the parking lot and to and from the Park.
