Remembering A Pet's Unconditional Love

Stripes was a very cute cat and the love of my life. I received Stripes as a kitten and had him for a little over eight years. He loved me, my brother, and my parents especially my Dad and we all loved him. His favorite past times were sleeping on Dads lazy boy recliner, eating, and chasing mice outside. Whenever he would catch one he would always drop it on the doorstep for us to find and he would always be rewarded with a treat.

After my Dad died Stripes was just as upset as the rest of us and wouldn't leave my side for two weeks. When I adopted my dog Coady from the PEI Humane Society I thought Stripes would be jealous but instead he had to sniff at Coady's head and play tag with him where he would run around in circles and get Coady to do the same. The two were the best of friends. In August of 2008 Stripes got very sick and had to be euthanized by the vet.

I was completely devastated and asked my nephew to make me a DVD of pictures of him which he did. Stripes is buried in our backyard and I visit him as much as possible. Stripes you were dearly loved and we are all very saddened of your loss and miss you but know you are better off. We can't wait for the day when we can finally meet you again.

All Our Love,
Grammie, Mom, and Coady.
