Summary
The Volunteer Shelter Errand Assistant plays an important role running errands to provide products
and services that are either donated or required by the Shelter.
Essential Duties
-
Receiving instructions from Shelter staff
-
Completing errands to pick-up or deliver items to and from the Shelter including donated newspapers from commercial
organizations
Schedule
The Volunteer Shelter Errand Assistant is required on a semi-regular basis. 1-2 hours per week is
ideal, depending on demand and availability.
Qualifications
-
min. 25 years of age
-
access to dependable vehicle or clean driver’s abstract to be able to drive PEIHS van
-
good knowledge of City of Charlottetown and environs
-
comfortable dealing with the public and acting as a representative of the PEIHS
-
able to lift large loads (ex. stacks of newspapers)

ability to work as a team member and independently
