This November, Islanders can expect to see bright pink donation slips showing up in their mailboxes from the PEI Humane Society. These mailers show up every November to help the PEI Humane Society fundraise to support operations at the province’s only animal shelter.

This year, the shelter is hoping to raise $200,000 for its operations. Amidst huge increases in intakes and the needs our animals, we are in need of your support more than ever.

This year’s campaign tells the story of Peggy Sue, a dog who came to the shelter having been left un-groomed for the majority of her life, and Melvin, a one-eyed stray cat that rallied his community to save him.
