The need is growing. Help us grow with it.
The PEI Humane Society has seen record-breaking intake numbers over the last decade. More and more animals are being surrendered and our community is asking for our services in more ways than ever. It’s time we meet our community’s needs and grow our operations as PEI’s only animal shelter.
There are many ways that you can get involved as a donor to help make this project a reality. Our fundraising goal is $3,000,000. If we achieve this, we will see PEI finally get the animal shelter it desperately needs.

Directed Donations
Directed donations make a special imprint on our work at PEIHS and can be a big part of your lasting legacy in animal welfare.
Choose from a list of projects and namings connected to the capital build and help us mark certain milestones on the road to project completion.
New equipment, supplies, space namings, and installations are all important parts of this project. By directing your donation to an area that is important to you, you can leave a lasting legacy and directly support work that is important to you. You can even put your name on it!

Run an Independent Fundraiser
Some of the most fun fundraisers we do every year are hosted by the public.
Whether it is a fun-run, a bake sale, or a swap-meet, your fundraiser can look like whatever you want!

With an entire shelter to furnish and equip, we are going to need MANY new supplies.

Join our Monthly Giving Program
Our monthly donors make an impact on every aspect of our work at PEIHS. From keeping the lights on, to buying supplies, we count on their continued support.
When you choose to become a month donor, you can select which fund you want your donations to go to.

Donate Securities
Donations of securites are a great way to make an impact on this project.
PEIHS accepts donations of securities via CanadaHelps.
If you are interested in donating securities, we recommend that you speak with your Financial Advisor.
Purchase a Memorial Plaque on the Walk of Paws
The Walk of Paws memorial monument will be among the final pieces of the capital project to be completed.
As this is a landscaping project, the final monument will be installed once the build is completed.
The memorial monument will feature a walking path, garden, and monument which will feature plaques purchased by those wishing to memorialize beloved pets and family members.
